- 1 basil seeds (sabja/tukmaria)
- ½ cup of water (to soak)
- 1 cup of ice water (in the drink)
- 2 Lemon Juice (or as desired)
- 3 ugar (or natural sweetener such as honey)
- Fresh mint or slices of fruits for garnish.
Soak the Basil Seeds:Mix 1 tablespoon of basil seeds in a bowl and add 12 cup of water.Soak the seeds for around 30 minutes until they swell and gelleath. Prepare the Sweetener:In a small saucepan, bring sugar (or honey) and 12 cup of water to low simmer.Blend until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool down. Combine Ingredients:Put the soaked basil seeds in a highball glass.Add in the cool sweetener and lemon juice.Pour in 1 cup of ice water and mix. Serve:Add fresh mint leaves or fruits slices, if you like.Refrigerate to have an easy drink!
