Basil Seeds Drink: A Delicious and Nutritious Way to Stay Hydrated

Ingredients
  

  • 1 basil seeds (sabja/tukmaria)
  • ½  cup of water (to soak)
  • 1 cup of ice water (in the drink)
  • 2 Lemon Juice (or as desired)
  • 3 ugar (or natural sweetener such as honey)
  • Fresh mint or slices of fruits for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Soak the Basil Seeds:
    Mix 1 tablespoon of basil seeds in a bowl and add 12 cup of water.Soak the seeds for around 30 minutes until they swell and gelleath.

  • Prepare the Sweetener:
    In a small saucepan, bring sugar (or honey) and 12 cup of water to low simmer.Blend until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool down.

  • Combine Ingredients:
    Put the soaked basil seeds in a highball glass.
    Add in the cool sweetener and lemon juice.
    Pour in 1 cup of ice water and mix.

  • Serve:
    Add fresh mint leaves or fruits slices, if you like.
    Refrigerate to have an easy drink!
